"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. ... Corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." ~Abraham Lincoln -- Nov. 21, 1864 (letter to Col. William F. Elkins)

  1. ...By the time of this statement the corporation had already received the right to contract and, a little over 20 years later the stage was set by a monumental Supreme Court case where corporations became to have the same rights as natural persons(piggybacked off of the 14th Amendment like; "if the ni**ers can have equal rights then, why can't we???"). All was needed next was a scientifically controlled CRISIS...hence the stock market crash of 1929, the Great Depression, the abrogation of the gold standard and, enter the exclusive use of private banknotes in public trade...
